You can see most of the materials we offer on our Material Options page, but computer monitors are not the best way to judge colors and textures. To help ensure that customers choose the materials that they will be happy with, we provide material samples at no charge (customers outside the US, please see the note below).
Note: We also send samples to customers outside the US. We do not charge for the samples, but we do charge for the postage. We prefer to send international sample orders by US Postal Service Priority Mail. This service costs more, but provides tracking. we have found that the frustration of not knowing the status of a sample order makes this service worth the cost. Without tracking, all we can do is wait when a package goes missing. The cost for International Priority is about $30 to most countries.
You can request samples by phone or by email. If possible, we prefer that you request and receive your samples before you are ready to place your order. This allows us to finalize all or your order details when the order is placed, and decreases the likelyhood of the order being delayed.Our samples are individual or "loose". We have nearly 100 materials to choose from, so we do not send all samples to all customers. We try to send only the samples that fit the choices that you are considering. On average we send about 20-25 samples per customer.
When requesting samples, please provide the following information:
US Customers:
- Name
- Address
- Phone number
- Types of materials you are interested in (Leather, Ultraleather, Cloth, or Carpet)
- General colors you are interested in (grays, browns, blues, etc.)
International Customers:
- Name
- Address
- In print form (email or fax) to help us avoid errors
- Formatted as it should appear on a shipping label (each part of the address on a seperate line)
- email address
- Types of materials you are interested in (Leather, Ultraleather, Cloth, or Carpet)
- General colors you are interested in (grays, browns, blues, etc.)
