Our Aviator II Side Panels will give your RV-14 the finished appearance of a factory built aircraft. They'll also make flying more enjoyable by improving the organization and comfort of the cockpit. They're custom made in your choice of colors and materials. All while adding minimal weight. All brackets, hardware and locating templates are included.

All of the side panel parts are fully upholstered to match your seats. There are no bare plastic or metal parts. This means that you have a wide variety of color options to choose from. The upholstered surfaces also give a higher quality feel and appearance.

The large pockets are great for storing all those random cockpit items. The small pockets are just right for a wallet, cell phone, and keys. They're also shallow enough that items inside are easy to find. The small storage bin under the armrest can accomodate thicker items.

Air vents are surrounded by upholstered trim pieces to match the rest of the interior. They're finished off with a machined and anodized aluminum bezel.

The structure of the panels is mostly 2024 T3 aluminum to keep the weight as low as possible. Lightening holes are incorporated for additional weight savings. Sheet metal as thin as .016" is also used in some parts.

The latch mechanism includes a new handle and catch made of 7075 T6 aluminum for maximum durability. The knob is machined billet and anodized red. It features a more erganomic shape than the stock yellow plastic knob. The pushrod is shifted up and out of the way. An anodized machined billet trim piece finishes off the latch area.

In all the side panel package includes 119 CNC cut sheet metal parts, 126 individual CNC press brake bends, and 42 misc. brackets and spacers. It represents many hours of dimpling, riveting, hand wrapping parts, cutting and sewing. There are 24 upholstered side panel components that each contain many individual parts.

What you end up with is a high end side panel solution that comes out of the box and goes right into your plane. We've done all of the head scratching for you!
