Final Suggestions

Many people hope to make their plane and interior unique and personalized. One reason they decided to build an airplane is the freedom to express their own tastes and personality. The tendency though is often an attempt to make their interior "over the top". Usually, this means selecting multiple loud colors and large bright embroidery that they imagine will turn heads at the next fly in. The effect however is usually an interior that looks over done, and is not very appealing to most people. It's no problem to use a bright color, or have a bold design, just remember it's very easy to over do it.

Often it is subtle and tasteful design features that make an interior more eye catching. Keep in mind that the reason so many interiors have a similar appearance is that there are certain elements that are pleasing to the human eye regardless of personal taste. By working within these "natural" design parameters, you can still include your own unique touches, and end up with something that others will appreciate as well.
